Bill Ferris joined LEARN NC in December of 2005. He currently serves as LEARN NC's Online Learning Specialist. His job responsibilities include: providing support to K–12 faculty, staff, and students involved in LEARN NC Online Courses; serving as LEARN NC’s student and parent adviser for K–12 programs with more than 2,000 students enrolled each year; and developing documentation to support the program.

Bill graduated Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a BA in English. Before joining LEARN NC he worked in public relations and human resources.

Though recently relocated to Chapel Hill from Florida, Bill is Midwestern to the core, and is fascinated by Southern customs such as grits, sweet tea, and “y'all.”
