Elizabeth Angell

Elizabeth Martin Angell holds a Masters of Education, Curriculum and Instruction- Reading from North Carolina State University and a B.A. in Elementary Education and Geography from UNC- Chapel Hill. Elizabeth is currently a Literacy Specialist/Coach in Chapel Hill/Carrboro City Schools.
- Earned National Board Certification (Middle Childhood Generalist) 2002
- Provides 40 hours of literacy staff development yearly
- Coaches literacy instruction of teachers in grades 3-5
- Trained in Reading Recovery, Literacy Collaborative, and Literacy Coaching
- Serves her school as Lead Proficiency Teacher
- Develops and facilitates literacy workshops for teachers and parents
- Taught online for the Chapel Hill/Carrboro school district
- Awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2005-06 and 2000-01 school years.
- Received two grants for the development of an audio book collection.
- Taught summer reading and writing classes
- Earned Academically Gifted teaching certificate
- Taught 5th grade for seven years
A North Carolina native, Elizabeth was born in Jacksonville, NC and has been living in the Triangle since 1994.
