Ross White
Director, Educational Programs
Ross White, LEARN NC's Director of Online Learning, began working at LEARN NC as a desktop support technician in 1998. While working on computers and playing with web pages, he inadvertantly began using LearningSpace, and soon found himself coordinating the statewide Virtual Classroom and Online Courses efforts. He now manages many aspects of LEARN NC's online courses for K-12 students and professional development.
Ross holds a BA in English Education and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Teaching Fellow, and is pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College. He has taught creative writing at in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has taught high school English in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (in the classroom) and Rowan-Salisbury Schools (online).
When he's not at LEARN NC, Ross runs Bull City Press, a micropress dedicated to poetry and short fiction.
