Ruth Bennett

Instructor

Ruth Bennett holds degrees in drama, English, and communication. As an educator, she has taught primarily at the college level in the fields of communication and writing skills. In her work as a professional consultant to such public and private sector organizations as Honeywell, the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Maximus, and many more, she has provided training, coaching, and consulting in communication and the management of people for more than 20 years.

Ruth’s career highlights include teaching graduate, undergraduate, and CEU courses online and in the classroom; working with high risk, inner city, elementary school children; designing and providing training and coaching in communication and the management of people for both profit and non-profit organizations; and designing and marketing continuing education. She has developed a strong track record of designing, delivering, and selling training, consulting, and education. Her publications include articles in professional journals in the United States and Canada, and privately published books in sales, customer service, and management. She has also written/ developed a large library of training materials in all aspects of communication for use in her classes.

Ruth has been with LEARN NC as an instructor since August 2006.
