Join Dirtmeister at Scholastic to research and investigate animal adaptations. This website walks students in grades 3-6 through the research process from coming up with an animal to investigate in their area to an observation sheet on which to record their findings to suggestions and a worksheet on reporting their research.

This site includes a teacher guide and sample information about adaptations in sharks, raccoons, foxes, and bears as well as example paragraphs from other students.

Kids will still need help in locating the information needed to complete this investigation.
