The Kid's Zone includes tips for kids interested in agricultural science projects, a series of virtual field trips that explore the life and work of various farms, fun facts and games about kids' favorite foods, and an interactive map that shows the states' agricultural profiles.

The Kid's Zone is part of the Agriculture in the Classroom series, and like many USDA for kids sites, has a design that will appeal only to elementary students, but much of its content, such as the information on science fair projects and the tour of a power plant, is appropriate for older age groups.

Teachers will find ag questions assembled by grade levels for classroom use.
