The Citation Maker, from the Oregon School Library Information System, is a great tool for elementary students creating a bibliography in the MLA format. A Web form allows the user to select the type material to be cited such as a book, encyclopedia article, webpage, or interview. The user then fills in blanks asking for such information as author's last name, first name, publisher, and other data needed for a citation. Users can compile a bibliographical list and either cut and paste into a word processing document or save as a rich text document onto a disk or their hard drive.

The elementary homepage also contains information about when to cite, plagiarism, parenthetical quotations, quoting, paraphrasing, and summarizing.
