Houghton Mifflin Company publishes the GeologyLink website. This is an excellent resource for students, researchers, instructors, or anyone interested in learning more about geology. Sections presented at the site are The Earth Today, Hot Topics, Inside Geology, and Virtual Field Trips, among others.
The Inside Geology section is a great learning tool as it links the user to class lectures, websites, references, news items, organizations, and glossaries on all aspects of geology.
Highlights of the site are the Virtual Classroom and Virtual Field Trips sections. These sections connect users to international resources: the first links to numerous physical geology courses, and the second allows users to "visit" sites or access geologic surveys worldwide.
