The Open-ended Math Problems website from the Franklin Institute “is for the specific purpose of preparing Middle School students for open-ended problem solving on standardized tests.” Based on Philadelphia math standards, these problems set can be useful to any math teacher or student working on the following areas:

  • Number Theory
  • Measurement
  • Geometry
  • Patterns, Algebra, and Functions

There are three levels of difficulty for each standard and rubrics for evaluation.
