Find detailed information for more than 50 of the places they protect in North Carolina. These sites included have adequate public access and public exploration will not endanger fragile natural communities. Just a few of these special places are the Bat Cave Preserve, the Roanoke Island Marsh, the Green Swamp Preserve, and the Black Ankle Bog Preserve.
