The North Carolina Coastal Lighthouses website from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction contains an interactive map that allows students to explore our state's many lighthouses. With each click of the mouse, they will find pictures of the chosen lighthouse, complete with all the vital statistics such as its location, county, color, design, height, and signal visibility. Each lighthouse is also accompanied by a short history of the landmark.
