North Carolina County Clips contains only information that the students of North Carolina contribute. County Clips relies upon students across the state to contribute to the information available and provides teachers with an opportunity for a class project.

Visit the county map of our state and see if your county has contributed information. The counties in green have had students conduct research, take pictures, and send it in to the Department of Public Instruction.

Students (grades 4 through 12) can also use this as an opportunity for some independent research. Show your multimedia skills! Contributions do not have to come from a teacher; anyone offering accurate information is welcome to submit. Students can work with the Better Business Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, or other organizations to make this a community service project. Mr. Camp Price, the Department of Public Instruction consultant in charge of this resource, would very much like to have every county in the state covered. Even if your county has information already in place, check it out, because there may be a spot in the county that they missed. If you have information to contribute, send it to Mr. Price at cprice@dpi.state.nc.us.
