This site has materials useful for math and science, examples of which are:

  • Fish Finder. (Search by common name, type, or location and get an illustration, size, state record size, and perhaps number and weight of the 1996 catch of a particular fish.)
  • Commercial Landing Statistics. (Scroll down to the Commercial Landings Trends, a clickable table of fish types and then find tables and graphs for pounds and values of fish caught commercially from 1972-1995. Scroll further for a clickable table listing the catch by year and then fish species for the same years.)
  • North Carolina State Saltwater Records. (Table with the fish type, weight, year, location caught, and fisherman).
  • Stock status of important coastal fisheries in North Carolina. (Table with stock status by fish type - good for environmental science).
  • About Blue Crabs.

Note: There are other pages billed as 'cool kids', which you may or may not find appropriate.
