Although this course was created for a Texas college history class, this website has so much information that can be used in creating an oral history project anywhere. Students will learn how to arrange interviews, structure meaningful questions, set up equipment and organize information.

A teachers' section provides the reasons why it is important to teach students about oral history. It gives step-by-step instructions from explaining the importance of oral history to conducting the interview and them presenting it to the class. There is an annotated bibliography of websites that may be helpful.
