The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL), the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), and the U.S. Department of Education have collaborated to create the Partnership in Reading. The program disseminates information on evidence-based research to educators and others who strive to help both children and adults learn to read. “The Partnership develops print, video, and multi-media products that explain the research and connect it to classroom instruction and activities at home.” It also publishes a newsletter for educators which provides effective strategies for reading instruction.

The Partnership for Reading website has print and multimedia reading resources for educators and families. It also provides legislative updates, new programming information and a forum for “educators to exchange experiences and practices related to reading instruction.”
