Great Plant Escape is an elementary program for 4th and 5th grade students. Each of the lessons in this program is interdisciplinary, designed to introduce students to plant science and increase their understanding of how foods grow. Activities enhance student's math, science, language arts, social studies, music and art.

The site is divided into cases. Each case has a goals and ideas section. There is also a glossary of terms. Students help Inspector Le Plant, Bud and Sprout solve the cases. At the end, students can print out a Junior Plant Detective certificate.

The site has a Spanish version as well.
