Billy Collins, former Poet Laureate of the United States, introduces poetry as a daily habit for high school students in this Library of Congress project. He has selected 180 poems: one a day for each day of the school year. Begin with his Introduction to Poetry and then move on to intriguing poems such as "Remora, Remora," "An Infinite Number of Monkeys," and "Fat is not a Fairytale."

Also, see the sections for teachers and the instructions for "How to read a poem out loud."
