The Poet's Corner is a free resource site from Thomson Gale. This collection of activities and information is designed to complement classroom topics. Within this site, teachers and students can:
- Read biographies of well-received poets including T. S. Elliot, Dylan Thomas, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and several others.
- Take a quiz based on these poets and their works.
- Follow a timeline of events that traces the poetry movement from 700 through 1975.
- Partake in activities that approach poetry from one of five subject area activities (beauty, form, identity, struggle, and death) for a richer and more insightful understanding.
- Read poems such as "The Raven," "Because I Could Not Stop For Death, and "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" and discover the concepts behind them.
