Questacon, The National Science and Technology Centre, in Australia makes an experience with science and technology fun, educational and interactive. Its website contains a wide variety of multimedia learning exhibits and activities.
The For Kids entry point contains online science exhibits and illusions, great puzzles and experiments to try at home. In For Teens find information about cloning, photonics or even tornadoes.
Questacon also provides several mini-websites including:
- Burarra Gathering gives a sense of the people, land, language and traditional technologies and knowledge of the Burarra people of Arnhem Land, in Australia's Northern Territory.
- Smart Moves helps students to find out about cutting edge careers and entrepreneurial opportunities in science, engineering and technology and to hear from young Australian entrepreneurs and cutting edge researchers.
- Claws and Jaws is a rather gory activity that lets older students work out whether a duiker (small antelope) was killed by a cheetah, lion, or leopard and examine a carcass for claw and jaw marks.
- Make Tracks is a virtual roller coaster activity where you can design and then ride your own roller coaster.
All of these (and more) interactive activities are accompanied by educator guides.
