Sci4Kids explains what scientists do at the Agricultural Research Service, or ARS. Geared to kids about 8 to 13 years old, it is produced by the ARS Information Staff in Beltsville, Maryland.

This site on agricultural science with resources for students and teachers has content appropriate for a wide range of ages in a design geared to elementary students. We recommend, for interested students, the tips on science fair projects. The Teacher's Desk is primarily a collection of word finds and puzzles, although the Whiz Kid Activity Packet packs some solid material on farming, food, and nutrition into the format of games and quizzes.
