Solar physics allows us to “explore the visible and invisible realms of our Sun in unprecedented detail, and marvel at the worlds that were once imaginable to us.” In 1995, the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) was launched into space and it has been a wonderful resource for scientists to learn more about the sun.

The website has an educator section which provides multi-disciplinary, interactive exercises and activities based on the Sun and solar science. Students can build their own Spectroscope, hear the Sun, learn about principles of magnetism and how they apply to the Sun, retrieve solar images, and much more. There are also self-guided quick quizzes to test a student's knowledge about the Sun. Students will find the activities, images, interactive tools, and other resources intriguing.
