Identifying, analyzing and acting on the right data can help you improve student learning and achievement. In this course you will learn the importance of:

  • Using data to plan appropriate instructional experiences for your students
  • Identifying and analyzing data to understand student learning needs
  • Gathering and analyzing data in a systematic and continuous manner

Course objectives

As part of this workshop, you will:

  • Review data-driven decision-making theory regarding multiple measures of data
  • Analyze intersections of the data to answer questions about student achievement and how to improve student learning
  • Learn to use tools to gather and analyze formative data to identify trends and gaps in learning
  • As a final product, create an action plan to guide instructional change in your own classroom and to improve student learning and achievement

Time commitment

Approximately 2-5 hours per week
