This Center, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is “situated on 1200 acres of woodland beautified by mountain streams, wildflowers, ridges, valleys and spectacular views.”
K-12 student environmental education programs include guided hikes where students learn about identifying indigenous plants and animals, a pond and stream program, a predator-prey activity which demonstrates the relationship between the predator and prey and survival techniques, and compass and orienteering activities.
The Center also offers craft programs for full and half days. These include pottery, weaving, spinning, basket making, and wreath making.
