The North Carolina Division of Forest Resources operates a system of six Educational State Forests (ESFs) designed to teach the public - especially school children - about the forest environment. Tuttle Educational State Forest has trails with "talking" trees and exhibits. Rangers conduct programs. It is located off NC Hwy 18, Gamewell, NC.
