This museum offers exceptional opportunities for families and visitors to see the region's rocks and minerals, hills and rivers, and plants and animals. Learn how these things connect the past and present peoples of the Carolinas' Piedmont. Students will enjoy the Nature Trail and the 18th-century Backcountry Farm, as well as learning of Catawba Indian ways.

The museum is open Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Call (704) 854-6676 to schedule a group visit. There is a charge for admission as well as a charge to visit the planetarium.
