- The Historic Shaw Properties Site Museum (Southern Pines)
- These restored homes, tool shed, and tobacco barn from the late 1700s and early
1800s can be toured at this historic site in Southern Pines.
- The McLendon Cabin and the James Bryant House Historic Site (Southern Pines)
- Located at Harris Crossroads in upper Moore County, both of these restored
structures are available for students to tour.
- The North Carolina Writers' Network: Literary Hall of Fame (Southern Pines)
- Find biographical information about North Carolina writers who have been
inducted into the Literary Hall of Fame. Periodically, this organization holds
teacher workshops, check back often to learn more.
- Union Station Railroad Museum (Aberdeen)
