Built in 1860, the William Alfred Moore House is the earliest known structure remaining in the town of Mount Airy. The Moores were a well established family in the region even prior to the development of Surry County in 1771. The home was purchased in October 1992 by the Mount Airy Restoration Foundation and is open for tours by appointment. There is an admission fee. Call 336-786-4512.
