Power and politics: Lesson 1 (ELP)
This is the first in a series of three lessons. Beginning with an introduction to political ideology, these ELP modules proceed to a study of the American political process and elections. A pre-activity given the night before will enable students to brainstorm characteristics of American political ideology as it manifests itself along the spectrum of liberal and conservative, Democrat and Republican, and left and right.
