A lesson plan for Grade 4 Science
In this lesson from the National Geographic Xpeditions website, students examine some endangered species and the ways that human activities contribute to species endangerment. Students are asked to devise their own species protection plans.
Students will:
- complete the Preserving Biodiversity family activity
- describe reasons why biodiversity is important
- research and take notes on five endangered species
- discuss the ways that human activities contribute to declining biodiversity
- devise plans to help protect endangered species
