A lesson plan for Grade 5 English Language Arts and Social Studies
In this lesson, the third in the EDSITEment curriculum unit titled “From the White House of Yesterday to the White House of Today,” students take virtual tours of Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home in Virginia, and the White House. They compare the activities undertaken by Jefferson at Monticello with those undertaken by presidents at the White House. This lesson incorporates primary source material from EDSITEment-reviewed websites.
