- Mixing colors with Little Blue and Little Yellow
- This is an integrated lesson based on a French book entitled Little Blue and Little Yellow by Leo Lionni. Within the lesson, students will experiment with various colors to create new colors and eventually write their own version of this story.

The students listen to the story of author Gloria Houston's great-aunt, Arizona Houston Hughes. During and following the listening and viewing experiences, the students will discuss their experiences with women in their own history who are helping them become good citizens and grow up well.

- Oh, the places I will go!
- Students will listen to the story by Dr. Seuss Oh, the Places You'll Go! The students will brainstorm a list of places they would like to go. Places such as nouns and proper nouns will be separated during the listing process. The students will write a response to: "Oh, the places I will go! I will go____________." and illustrate their responses. Each student response will be collected for a class book entitled "Oh, the Places We Will Go!"

- In this lesson students will play percussion instruments that have been divided into four groups: Drums, Woods, Metals and Shakers/Scrapers. They will perform a song sung to the tune of 'Old MacDonald had a Farm' and perform the instruments of these groups.

- Our community helpers

- Paint tools & geometric figures
- This lesson is meant to teach or review for third grade students the use of Paint tools. These tools are generic to many multimedia tools such as HyperStudio and Kid Pix. For the student who is unfamiliar with "Paint," it provides another tool of expression and illustration.
This lesson is also designed to reinforce geometry math skills.
