Latta Plantation

The mansion at Latta Plantation was built in 1796 and is modeled on the two-story Federal style house that was popular in the late eighteenth century. Latta plantation is located in Mecklenburg county, North Carolina. During the antebellum period, the Latta family owned approximately 700 acres and 34 slaves, which made Latta an average size plantation.
