CareerStart lessons: Grade seven

Help your seventh-grade students put all the pieces together with these lessons.

Research has shown that high drop-out rates in high school are preceded by significant student disengagement in middle school. The CareerStart strategy seeks to avert that disengagement by demonstrating to students that the core curriculum in math, science, English language arts, and social studies is relevant to their lives. CareerStart encourages middle-school students to connect course content with future careers and provides teachers with the tools to make those connections possible.
