Because there are so many local elections across the state, for county commissioners, mayors, boards of education, registers of deeds, and other offices, we can’t list them all here. Instead, we’ve tried to provide a few resources you can use to learn about the elections in your county or municipality.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections
This site provides a directory of county boards of elections websites and contact information. Many have information about candidates, polling locations, and primary election results. However, the information available varies from county to county, and while all the counties have some form of board of election website, it may be necessary to contact them directly for specific information.
Kids Voting USA
A national network of community-based affiliates that partner with schools and election officials to offer students in K-12 opportunities for civic learning. Several North Carolina counties have local affiliates.
