In 1976, Ruth Current was elected to the North Carolina Agriculture Hall of Fame.
This honor was given to her because of the love and concern she gave the people of North Carolina.

Miss Current helped the families of North Carolina learn many skills, improve their homes, earn more money, and become healthier.
