In 1926 Mr. Harrill became the North Carolina State 4H Club Leader.
Boys and girls in 4H clubs learned a lot of things about farming, gardening, homemaking, and taking care of animals.
Mr. Harrill wanted kids to have nice places to meet and interesting things to do during their 4H meetings.
