Birds-eye view of Mount Everest

Mount Everest stands on the border between Nepal and Tibet in the Himalayan Mountains. The Himalayan range is the world’s highest mountain range, but also one of the world’s youngest. Scientists believe the range formed about 70 million years ago when the Indo-Australian continental plate collided with the Eurasian Plate.
