Pacing guide - Educator's Guide: North Carolina Digital History

An editable pacing guide for the digital textbook. This Excel workbook contains two spreadsheets. The first lists modules and chapters with suggested pacing; each chapter title links to the relevant section of the second spreadsheet, which provides detailed information about individual pages.

The spreadsheet may be edited to allow for customization and more specific planning.

A “digital textbook”

LEARN NC’s digital textbook for North Carolina History uses primary sources and multimedia to tell many stories about the past, not just one. Its resources are suitable not only for grade 4 and 8 North Carolina history courses but for high school history and social studies, as well.

This educator’s guide offers some general ideas and resources. Many pages of the textbook come with specific lesson plans — look for the heading “For teachers” in the right-hand column.
