For women, traditional dress in the Otavalo Valley consists of a white embroidered blouse, a blue skirt, and a wool shawl. Women wear layered jewelry, including gold-beaded necklaces and red coral bracelets. Like the men, the women wear the traditional alpargatas on their feet.
