In this unit for high school physics and physical science, students explore the basic principles of all machines and review the six simple machines. They also explore the concept of mechanical advantage by collecting data and calculating the ideal and actual mechanical advantage for several machines. The unit wraps up with an “Around the world” review game and unit test.
