From the US Fish and Wildlife Services, the North Carolina Ecological Services website provides information on the endangered species of North Carolina, wetlands, conservation and more.Visitors will find assorted information about ecological programs currently in North Carolina ranging from habitat conservation to reducing contaminants. Particularly in the endanged species portion, users will be able to access information about the Endangered Species Act of 1973 as well as descriptions of North Carolina endangered species, which include the Eastern Cougar, the Piping Plover, the Waccamaw Silverside, the Saint Francis’ Satyr Butterfly, and more.There is also information on invasive species in North Carolina and a photo gallery full of wildlife images from our state.
