This biography of Eleanor Roosevelt includes rare home movies, contemporary footage, and reflections from her closest surviving relatives, as well as biographers Blanche Wiesen Cook, Allida Black, and Geoffrey C. Ward, bringing to vibrant life one of the century’s most influential women.
The website, which is a companion to the PBS American Experience program of the same name, includes a transcript of the program, a timeline of Eleanor Roosevelt’s life, an interactive map of Eleanor’s trip to the South Pacific during World War II, and a teacher’s guide to the site.
