DSOKids “is the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s magical doorway to a world of musical fun and learning for students, parents and teachers. The site’s mission is to provide attractive, accessible and child-friendly resources that introduce symphonic music, the orchestra and its instruments, and to encourage both adults and young people to explore the world of the symphony orchestra.”When teachers and students visit this site they will be able to create their own instruments, listen to music, consult the instrument encyclopedia, study the orchestra seating chart, and find out about the life of musicians. There are also games, coloring pages, and tips for kids when practicing their musical instrument.
Teachers will want to visit the Teachers Lounge for lesson plans, activities, and many other resources.
