To help students and even teachers avoid plagiarism, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction has created this Website. It includes information on plagiarism with definitions and examples. Teachers will find instructional strategies to help show students how to avoid plagiarism. Also included are guidelines for developing plagiarism policies, links to other plagiarism resources, and downloadable brochures for teachers to share with students. There is also a section for parents on the site so they can guide their children to avoid plagiarizing when doing projects, papers, and homework assignments.
