The Howard Hughes Medical Institute provides Cool Science for Kids, an interactive site for kids to learn about biology and appreciate science. They “looked at some of the best science projects from some of the best museums in the country and adapted them for the Web.” The projects are designed for K-3 students and include information and both online and offline activities that include a plant-parts salad, air-junk, the caterpillar metamorphosis, and more!
