Cool Cosmos communicates the world of infrared astronomy and the multi-wavelength universe to audiences as varied as kindergarteners to amateur astronomers.
The site includes short videos about astronomy and infrared light and posters and brochures that have become favorites with NASA education specialists as well as classroom teachers.
In the Cosmic Kids area, students can learn about what is in space and cool space tools as well as learn about infrared light.
Teachers can teach students about infrared light with the lesson plans, activities, and experiments. The Cosmic Reference Guide defines astronomical topics and the Ask an Astronomer area provides answers to questions.
