Biographies of Women Mathematicians is an on-going project by students in mathematics classes at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Georgia. These biographies illustrate the numerous achievements of women in the field of mathematics. The entries are organized both in alphabetical order and chronological order. This website also includes information on the first Ph.D’s in mathematics by women before 1930 and prizes, awards and honors for women mathematicians. Also find information about the Association of Women in Mathematics essay contest. Deadline is October 29, 2004.
