BioInteractive is a collection of biology-focused teaching materials and activities created by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. There are more resources here than can be described succinctly, so be sure to visit for yourself if you are looking for something in particular.The Virtual Labs are interactive biomedical laboratory simulations and include a transgenic fly lab,a bacterial identification lab, a cardiology lab, and more. The Animation Console contains a variety of demonstrations such as the anatomy of the cochlea, angiogenesis, repairs of DNA mistakes, and the evolution of the Y chromosome. Click and Learn features mini-lessons that address such topics as gender testing in female athletes, electric fish, and antibiotics.
