The Big Ideas Network is a part of InnovatED in Australia and is designed for kids with big ideas. This resource will help students explore the world of ideas and innovation. They will discover what makes ideas valuable and why it is important protect them.The Big Ideas Network will introduce kids to lots of creative people who have interesting jobs working with ideas. They will learn about several types of careers such as a kite designer, a plant breeder, an industrial designer, and a museum curator and find out where their creativity can take them.Kids will also learn about the need to protect plans for inventions with an interactive game as well as information about the necessary legal steps to obtain a patent. The can also learn about the importance of a trademark and design their own personal trademark. A glossary is also provided that provides useful information about ideas and innovation and includes terms such as intellectual property.
