Breath of Life is an interactive exhibit from the National Library of Medicine that examines the medical and human history of asthma, the experiences of people with asthma, and contemporary efforts to understand the disease. It features various notable figures from the past with asthma as well as video of current celebrities who share their experiences with this disease. An in-depth look at one girl’s struggle with asthma provides a poignant perspective.Students will also find a wealth of information that explores the history of the treatment of asthma to current treatments. There is also guidance on managing asthma and information on where asthma research stands today.
